My apologies for the extended silence since early October. Deepavali holidays and the subsequent avalanche of work had me buried.
Many of you may know an OBD resident by the name of Ms Lai, our tenacious and tireless animal lover and volunteer. Ms Lai passed me this EGM request to upload to the blog.
**Strata Title Act provides for the council to call for EGM if there is 25% support by the owners.

Do you mean the current committee is not trustworthy and not transparent.
Like this, we need to take care of OBD ourselves and not let them spoil things in OBD.

in the EGM form, you requested those issues , have you formally wrote to the office and what were their replies? my guess is that they must have declined those issues so thats why you did an EGM. can you post those replies and your requests on to this Blog ?
If they are not trustworthy and transparent then we need to get better people run the condo. Can you let us know what wrongs they have done. Some of us are not so fully aware. It is good if you let everyone know in this blog. Thank you ms lai.
I stayed in OBD for 8 years now. I've experienced how previous management handled and managed OBD and also the current one. I have also attended the 2 previous AGM. Frankly, I am amazed at all this fuss. If there were issues with the current MC, how come none were highlighted in the AGM except the playground and carpark. The previous management was not all that efficient nor approachable either. When the current MC took over, things were bumpy in the beginning, however it gradually improved. We can see the difference. It is not perfect but I suggest that everyone work together to make OBD better and not challenge each other. Any change for the better takes time. If there are indeed wrong doings by MC as mentioned, please do highlight to everyone reading this blog. As it is, our country and the whole world is in such a mess. Why can't we resolve problems amicably? There are millions of people suffering out there and here we are trying to out do each other. Why can’t we approach things peacefully? Why can’t we channel our positive energies toward a more peaceful coexistence? Maybe, we should do some soul searching. If the EGM is successful in getting a new group of MC, I hope the new MC is aware of the huge responsibilities involved. We, the residents will tend to lose if both sides do not cooperate. We are all living under one big roof. You can’t have the cake and eat it too. We must meet everyone halfway.
